For installation of vinyl letters and graphics onto vehicles, rooflights and shop fronts etc & application of our roof savers
Contains everything you need, sprayer - squeegee - soap - as well as step by step instructions for easy application of signs. This will make you an expert.... well, it should do!

 | Applying letters to a vehicle, roof light or shop front uses the same principle.
First clean the area with some soapy water.
With the letters and backing paper (thin) face down on a flat surface, slowly pull back the thick transport paper leaving the letters still attached on the thin backing paper. This is best done using a low horizontal angle ( nearly back on its self ) Make certain that none of the letters are left on the transport paper that you are peeling back. If one does, put the backing paper back over the letter, give it a rub with a squeegee and then try again. ........... remember, slowly, because it is easy to tear off part of a letter such as the arms on a capital E if you rush.
DO NOT DO THIS OUTSIDE IF IT IS WINDY .
If it folds back on it self, sticky to sticky side before spraying, you'll never be able to recover it.
Quickly spray the sticky side with water or water with a little washing up liquid added. This will stop the letters sticking to themselves.
Now spray the area where the letters are going with similar water and stick them to the surface, still on the backing paper. Because you have wetted the surface, you have the chance of moving and squaring up the sheet of letters.
From the centre, squeegee the water and air out which makes the letters stick better. You do need to put some pressure on doing this.
Now you can slowly peel off the backing paper at the same angle as before. If you have some time, spraying the paper with soapy water and leaving it 10 minutes will make it nearly drop off. Use the squeegee lightly on any letters that still have water or air behind them.
Please note that using a little cheap ( not with lots of hand oil in it ) washing up liquid in the water helps remove the air and lets you move the letters around. If you use too much soap, the letters will slip and slide around.
On very small, thin text, its best to use water with no soap as there is not much surface area of glue to get them to stay where you want them.
On normal text use 3 or 4 drops in a sprayer ( Ltr) . On very large letters or our roof savers, use 5 or 6 drops.
Our application pack is all you want. Even after many years, we some times make a mistake if we are in a hurry.......... so patience is the key.
